EffectiveDecember 13, 2024, all marketplace listings must comply with the General Product Safety Regulation (RGSP). Any noncompliance will result in the removal of the affected listings.
Here area few key stepsto follow to ensure compliance with this regulation:
1. Audit of your product listings
Make sure each form includes:
Name and contact information of the manufacturer/importer
Unique Identifier (EAN)
Safety Instructions in the Local Language
2. Proper Labeling
Include the required information directly on the product, its packaging, or in an enclosed leaflet.
3. Clear safety instructions
Provide user instructions and warnings tailored to consumers, written in the language of the country where the product is sold.
4. CE Marking (if applicable)
For products subject to regulations (such as toys or electrical appliances), make sure they bear the CE marking.
5. Appointment of a Data Protection Officer in the EU
If you import products, designate a person or entity capable of ensuring their compliance and retaining the necessary documentation.
